Day 3 In taiwan - Red Maple Resort, Wineyard, Xin Feng farm, i Cloud Hotel, Tibetan Dinner, Fengjia Night Market, Taiwan Travel Blog

Since we could not do the Sun Moon lake the previous day, the group decided to wake up early and visit it early in the morning. I was quite tired and decided to give it a skip but I think I missed the most beautiful experience of Taiwan. After looking at their pictures, I was actually cursing myself for being lazy and missing this opportunity, but there is always a next time and may be I will visit Taiwan again only for this :).

But carrying forward, we all went to have breakfast in the restaurant of the resort. The Chef demonstrated us a few traditional taiwanese dishes which included a tofu and chickpea soup and a sea weed wrap. The ingredients used were all sourced from the resort's herb and vegetable patch which had quite a variety of herbs, flowers, vegetables and fruits. After having a sumptuous breakfast and learning the dishes from the Chef, we set out for a tour of the Red maple Resort in which we were staying. the resort grow their own herb, flowers, vegetables and fruits and apart from using them in house, they also supply to make retailers.

We picked our own passion fruits and cherry tomatoes and kept hogging on them for the next few days. By the time we were done with the tour of the place, it was lunch time and we were served a vegetarian lunch at the restaurant of the Red Maple Resort.  The dishes served for lunch were presented in the most beautiful fashion  and use  a lot of in house ingredients.

After having  a fabulous time at the hotel, we set out for our next destination which was Xin Feng farm for fruit picking. I have been to quite a few Vineyards in the past but this one was best of all with dark purple grape bunches hanging from the wine. The place was perfect for photo opp and we all went crazy with our cameras. The ticket to the farm included picking our our bunches and in just a matter of time, we had a huge box filled with the most delicious grapes which we kept popping now and then throughout the remaining journey.

After a tiring but exciting day, we checked into one of the poshest hotels in Taiwan, i cloud luxury resort and hotel. i cloud is a boutique hotel with over 100 rooms set up in different styles. Decked up with the most modern amenities that you can think of, this hotel is an experience in itself.

The dinner was at the Little Tibet restaurant. Food was fabulous as the lady who owns the place is from Tibet and she makes sure the food is as close as possible to the real deal. After having our dose of lip smacking, tongue tickling spicy food, we were ready to explore the Fenjia night market.

The night markets in Taiwan are quite buzzing and this one is particularly famous. You will find a lot of things to shop including cloths, shoes, accessories and food. keep some time for this experience as it's one of a kind and you will not get it anywhere else.
